Odd Sock

Doug and Linda have been a matching pair of socks for twelve years. When the Hand tosses them into the dryer, a giant fuzzy arm reaches out of the lint trap, and Linda is gone.

She's been taken by King Fluffernutter, Lord of Lint, Duke of Dust Bunnies, and Regional Manager of the Dryer Vent. He's knitting a Great Sweater big enough to cover the Earth and make it so cozy that humanity falls asleep forever. 

 Every single load, the humans scrape lint off the trap and throw it in the trash. He is done being thrown away.
